Kingsdown Manor
Project Description
Sitting proudly on top of a hill five minutes south of Timaru, this home and function centre is known as Kingsdown Manor. Spring 2019 saw this unique property receive a much-needed rejuvenation of the roof and exterior cladding.
Steep pitched rooflines, dormer arched timber windows and doors and stained glass contribute to an overall gothic, castle appearance of the home. The dark grey black of Resene Nocturnal has emphasised the pitch of the roof and turret and made a bold impact from the road.
Textured roughcast painted in Resene Half Wheatfield clads the feature turret and second storey of the building. This tones beautifully with the red brick of the chapel and ground level of the main house and function centre.
Exterior paintwork enhances the intricate timber fretwork, brackets and tongue and groove detailing providing an outstanding finish to this bespoke building.
